Choose the Doctor or Nurse you want to see

If you want to see a specific GP or Nurse we can make an appointment for you with them.  However, as a lot of our staff only work part-time hours, you may have to wait longer for an appointment with a specific person.  If you are really unwell, however, please do ask for the first available appointment.  All of our clinicians are highly trained and have access to your previous consultations, so they will know what you have seen the previous GP or Nurse about.

Sometimes we all need an Emergency Appointment to see a Doctor or Nurse.

At First 4 Health Group, we want to make sure that you receive the best possible care at all times, so we will always ask why you need to see the Doctor or Nurse when you call in for an emergency appointment.  Wherever possible we try to get a Doctor or Nurse to speak to you before asking you to come into the surgery for an Emergency Appointment.

Sometimes, if the Doctor or Nurse feels that you need to be seen quickly they will ask you to come to the surgery straight away.

Please ask our receptionist to assist you with booking translation services, with Language Line, prior to your appointment, so that your appointment will go smoothly.

Booking Appointments in Advance

If you do not need an appointment within two working days, you also have the option to book up to 4 weeks in advance if this is more convenient for you.

Screening Calls

All of our reception and admin staff are trained by the doctors and nurses to screen all calls that come through. Therefore please do not be alarmed when we ask you the reason for the appointment – we just want to make sure that we book you with the Doctor or Nurse best able to deal with your query that will result in the best care for you as an individual.

New Telephone System

We installed a new telephone system in February 2018.  It did not work out as well as we had hoped.  We have moved 3 of our 4 sites to a new company Xon Connect.  Church Road Health will be moved to the new telephone system by March 2020 to improve our ability to handle the volume of calls we get from patients.
