New Telephone System

We have a new telephone system, which allows us to handle up to three calls at any one time. If there are more than three callers, being dealt with then you will get an engaged tone. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. Most of our calls take approximately 3 minutes to deal with. If you call and get an engaged tone, please hang up and call again after a few minutes. 

Wherever possible we try to see all of our patients within 48 hours. However, at times where there is a high demand for our services, in which case the next ROUTINE appointment will be offered. 

Even if your condition is ‘non-urgent’, we will still try and see you within two working days. 

If more than one person in the family needs to be seen this can be arranged at the same time by giving you another appointment with the same Clinician. However due to high demand for appointments, we can only book 2 consecutive appointments at any one time. If you are booking an on the day appointment we are only able to offer ONE appointment per household. 

Please be patient when waiting to arrive for your appointment at reception as sometimes a queue builds up.

Always aim to arrive at least 5 mins before your appointment time so that you can be arrived on time.

If you are more than 10 minutes late, YOU WILL NOT BE SEEN, and will have to re-book your appointment.


Booking Appointments in Advance

If you do not need an appointment within two working days, you also have the option to book up to 4 weeks in advance if this is more convenient for you. 

Triaging Calls

All of our reception and admin staff are trained by the doctors and nurses to triage all calls that come through. Therefore please do not be alarmed when we ask you the reason for the appointment – we just want to make sure that we book you with the Doctor or Nurse best able to deal with your query that will result in the best care for you as an individual.
