Alternative Appointments
Telephone Triage Clinic

Many things can be dealt with on the phone and can save an unnecessary visit to the surgery. If you want to speak to a doctor or nurse please call us, preferably in the morning and ask
for a telephone consultation and the clinical staff will ring you back.

Speaking to a Clinician on the phone for some issues is just as good as booking an appointment to come in and see them. We have introduced this clinic for your convenience so that you can speak to the Doctor or Nurse from the comfort and save yourself a journey when the query can be dealt with on the phone.

However, if the Doctor or Nurse feel that you need to be seen, then they will normally ask for you to come in that same morning or afternoon, or at another time that best suits you.

All of our Doctor have different days for Telephone Triage. So when you call for Telephone Triage you will be booked with the Doctor that is on for Telephone Triage that day.

For a telephone consultation with one of our highly trained nurses, you can call on any day and we will ask a nurse to call you back.

  • Healthy Weight Clinic (to help you learn to eat healthily and manage your weight).
  • Giving up smoking.
  • Vascular Risk Clinic – a general check-up and cholesterol and blood sugar test for patients over the age of 40.
Home Visits

Our doctors would see four patients in the practice in the time it takes us to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible. However, we can visit you at home if your condition means you cannot attend our practice, e.g. housebound or elderly patients or if you are too unwell to attend the practice.

Please ring before 10.00am to arrange a visit and let us know if your condition is urgent. The doctor will call you to discuss your problem before they come to see you.

If the doctor does feel that you need to be seen they will visit you at home at the end of surgery.
