Cumberland Medical Centre is located within a modern Lift Building in the up and coming area of Manor Park in the London Borough of Newham, 10 minutes walk from Manor Park Station, which is on the overland line 4 stops from Liverpool Street Station and 3 stops Stratford Station, Westfield Shopping Centre and the new Olympic Park. It therefore enjoys excellent transport links via Stratford including, Central Line, Jubilee Line, the DLR, British Rail Overground services to North West London and Essex. There are excellent bus links to the practice and the practice has parking facilities at the rear for users of the Health Centre.

The First 4 Health Group has approximately 28,000 patients across 4 sites in the London Borough of Newham: First 4 Health Group - Chuch Road Health, Stratford Village Surgery, Leytonstone Medical Centre and Cumberland Medical Centre.

We have an excellent in-house teaching culture and are known as local innovators around the effective use of EMIS Web and other IT systems to improve patient care. We use EMIS workflow - paperless document management and remote access to support the flexible working of our clinical teams.

Our current team of 8 GP's includes 3 GP Trainers, including a GP Trainer Program Director. Across all 3 sites we also have CCG Board members, CCG Cluster leads and 3 Medical Student Educators.

Our GP's are further supported by a team of 3 Nurses, 6 Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Pharmacists, Management and Admin Teams.
E12 Health has an excellent clinical team and we have regular clinical and non-clinical team meetings in order to continually improve our patient care. 
E12 Health has been a GP Training Practice for many years.

All of the sites operate as independent units but also work closely together to facilitate the efficient management of the group practice by using standard IT, Training and Clinical policies and procedures.

Although most staff are generally based at only one location we are able to use EMIS Web and our own internal GP practice management system - OneRoom™, to facilitate the provision of excellent healthcare to our patients and support our staff across all 3 sites.

Merging our 3 sites to create the First 4 Health Group has enabled us to
  • share resources
  • provide each other with support
  • create a new structures for managing the career development of both clinical and non-clinical staff within the practice
  • proactively manage the higher quality targets that have been introduced for NHS practices.
All members of our team - including clinicians - will have the opportunity (if they wish) to work at the different sites, however this particular position will primarily be based at the E12 Health Site in the up and coming Manor Park area of Newham.

We support our staff by arranging regular in house and external training in order to enhance their already accredited qualifications and support them in their work.

The First 4 Health Group currently has a number of GP vacancies as a result of both our recent development and our plans to develop new career structures to enable appropriate succession planning and future growth as existing partners retire.

We operate a discretionary staff bonus scheme - partly based on individuals choosing to take on additional responsibility and partly based on the practice team working together to meet the annual standard QOF and other contractual KPI targets set for all GP practices.
