Further Opportunities & Career Development:
Who are we?
The First 4 Health Group currently serves approximately 37,000 patients across 4 sites in the London Borough of Newham. The current sites we operate from are; Church Road Health (CRH), Cumberland Medical Centre (CMC), Stratford Village Surgery (SVS) & E7 Health (E7H). This gives us the resilience of a larger organisation but we are still small enough for all of our GPs and staff to feel cared for and valued. The health and wellbeing of all our staff and GPs are really important to us and that we cultivate a learning and developmental culture. We are an inclusive, collaborative organisation that values diversity. This is reflected in our CQC rating Outstanding in Wel-Lead domain at Church Road Health. We are also a training practice and are actively involved with the CCG, our local federation, and 3 Primary Care Networks.
We are continually trying to improve patient services and access and try new ways of doing things. We have previously been ranked as a 'Healthcare 100' Employer by HSJ. We have also recently been nominated for a further HSJ award for our work with Emis on Online Triage.
We are committed to ensuring that all patients receive the best possible care and reducing health inequalities. This is also reflected in our CQC Outstanding rating in our care of Vulnerable Patients at Church Road Health.
We are really looking for motivated and caring GPs to join our group of GP Practices based in Newham.
Our highly trained Administrative, HCA, Trainee Nurse, Practice Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Paramedic, Social Prescribers, Health & Wellbeing Coaches, Physicians Associates & Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technicians teams support our GPs by minimising paperwork including prescriptions and filtering documents which means that our GP’s have more time to treat patients.
We have excellent clinical teams at all of our sites who meet on a weekly basis at regular clinical and non-clinical team meetings to manage and continually improve our patient care.
How do we work?
We use EMIS workflow - paperless document management and remote access to support the flexible working of our clinical teams. We fully support our clinicians to work from home on selected days - providing Organisation Laptops with all the necessary software installed and Emis access dongles to support remote working for those working more than 3 sessions per week.
All of the sites operate as independent units, however, we work closely together to facilitate the efficient management of the group practice by using standard IT, Training, and Clinical policies and procedures.
Although most staff are mainly based at one location we are able to use EMIS Web and our own internal GP practice management system - OneRoom across all of our sites to facilitate the provision of excellent healthcare to our patients and support our staff across all 4 sites.
We also offer to provide Business Parking permits if you use your own vehicle to drive into work and work across sites for more than 3 days a week.
We are an organisation committed to supporting all of its staff to engage fully with the varied career development opportunities available in General Practice today and in the future to fully develop your potential.
For those who choose to become Permanent Salaried GPs with us:
Further opportunities are available for those with the right skills, abilities, and commitment to become a Salaried GP with us and then go on to become a Trainer and/or Associate Clinical & Medical Directors within the organisation.
We offer Clinicians the opportunity to use specialist skills (GPwSI) like Minor Surgery, Gynaecology, Dermatology, and MSK clinics in local community clinic providers - Patient First Social Enterprise.
We can also fully support you to take on education fellowships, leadership, and QI training and are happy to discuss other developmental opportunities that you may be interested in. This may also include access to Health Education England fellowship funding for newly qualified (less than 2 years post CCT)
We also have an internal First4HealthGroup fellowship scheme to support GPs who have qualified more than 2 years ago where we support your career and aspirations through funded time/bursary.
We also support our staff by arranging regular in-house and external training in order to enhance their already accredited qualifications and support them in their work.
We are an equal opportunity employer. Applications are welcomed by applicants with disabilities. If required, reasonable adjustments will be made to the application process and working environments.
We fully support short-term, long-term, and flexible working and welcome applicants interested in both and are fully committed to supporting effective remote working.
